2025 Longwood Homeowners Annual Meeting

2025 Annual Meeting of the Longwood Owners’ Association, Inc.

The Annual Meeting of the Longwood Owners Association will be held on Thursday, October 30th at Carriage Inn, across the street from the entrance to Longwood. The official start time is 7:00 PM with a 1-hour social meet and greet starting at 6:15 PM. Owners are invited to bring an appetizer or an hors d’oeuvres of their choice. An agenda will be distributed prior to the meeting date. The Board will also post a notice of the Annual Meeting on the guard house doors the weekend before the meeting.

Among the primary agenda items for the Thursday, October 30th meeting is voting for one (1) Director. The Director whose term ends on December 31, 2025, is Patricia Quinlan. The elected member will serve a three-year term on the Board.

Nominating Committee

Anyone desiring to be nominated should contact Abdiel Reyna, Rachel Chowdry, or Paul Harbison. Abdiel is the Chairperson of the committee. You can reach out to any of these 3 individuals or send in your nomination via email to nominations@longwoodinconroe.com.

There will be one ballot, as there is only one Director with a term ending in 2025. By October 20th, all nominations must be submitted to be included on the absentee/email ballot,  write-in candidates will be accepted at the meeting. The Nominating Committee will provide a candidate list to the Board of Directors no later than the 21st of October.

Once the list of candidates has been established, in person ballots, an absentee ballot, and a proxy statement will be emailed to all Owners on October 22nd with instructions. Nominations will not be accepted from the floor, and write-in candidates on the ballot are no longer accepted. *If you plan to attend in person please use the in-person ballot and vote at the meeting. Only use the absentee/email ballot if you are not able to attend the meeting.

Voting for Board of Directors and 2026 Budget

As of January 1, 2026, one (1) new member is needed to serve on the Board of Directors. Voting for a new Director and the 2026 budget will be the first items on the agenda. You will have the option of voting via email between October 22nd and October 29th, or in person on October 30th at the Annual Meeting. Absentee/email ballots, and a proxy statement will be sent to each Owner no later than October 22nd, 2025 with instructions on how to cast your ballot. Voting via email will close at 6:00 PM on October 29th, 2025.

Agenda

The agenda will be finalized after nominees are decided. Owners desiring to address the Board, or present a topic for consideration, can be placed on the agenda. To reserve a time, please respond to this email by October 21st with your topic. We will confirm your time on the agenda, and depending on the number of requests, time for discussion and presentations may be limited.
